Through advocacy, community partnerships, and exceptional support, we promote growth, inclusion, and innovation for people of all abilities.The Lead Direct Support Professional provides the assistance necessary to meet the supported individual's needs and promote their health, safety, and overall well-being. This support may include helping the individual accomplish activities of daily living including but not limited to eating, toileting, dressing, bathing, transferring, and ambulation, while encouraging as much independence as possible. This role incorporates Behavioral Supports, Clinical Data Tracking, implementing PBS strategies and DSP work. This is a DSP position with elevated Clinical Responsibilities. Lead DSP report directly to and receive weekly and/or as needed support and supervision from the Clinical Director.Minimum Qualifications:At least 18 years of ageHigh School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma requiredFirst Aid/CPR certificationPABC certificationCompletion of TB screening and testingCompletion of Physical including transportation/transfer addendumSafe driving record, current driver's license, personal vehicle, and current motor vehicle liability insurance required, ability to successfully pass criminal background checks2 years experience working with PBS or de-escalation strategies.Job Responsibilities:Communicates effectively with the individual to whom they provide services including his or her familyProvides assistance with activities of daily living including personal care, nutrition, and supporting individuals on medical appointments.Supports individuals in increasing and/or maintaining their everyday independence within the communityProvides transportation as neededCompletes needed documentation that may include weekly time sheet, daily progress notes, incident reports in a timely mannerMaintains necessary certifications (CPR, First Aid, Services/Supports, etc.) and completes all required training courses in a timely manner in accordance with training requirementsAttend instructor training for PABC and facilitate training for agency staffProvides supports/services as directed by families who have established supports for their family membersCollect and Compile Behavior Data and report to Clinician and Management Team.Work Directly with Management Team to implement and model PBS strategies in the program.
