Compensation:

$95,000 - $120,000 yearly DOE

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

• Defend clients when the stakes are highest , protecting their rights, freedom, and future
• Take ownership of criminal cases from strategy through resolution
• Analyze facts, evidence, and applicable law to develop strong, effective defense strategies
• Build trusted client relationships through clear, responsive, and confident communication
• Draft and file motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents with accuracy and precision
• Negotiate assertively with prosecutors to pursue favorable resolutions for clients
• Handle hearings, motions, negotiations, trials, and other court proceedings
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support teams to develop comprehensive case strategies
• Advocate confidently for clients throughout the Raleigh/Durham area and surrounding jurisdictions , appearing remotely or in person as required

Qualifications: What We’re Looking For

• J.D. and active North Carolina law license in good standing — required

• 2+ years of criminal defense or closely related litigation experience

• Strong client communication skills with the ability to build trust, explain strategy, and keep clients informed

• Confident courtroom presence with experience handling hearings, motions, negotiations, and trials

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively with prosecutors

• Excellent legal writing and attention to detail when preparing motions, briefs, and other filings

• Collaborative, team-oriented approach to developing case strategy and achieving strong client outcomes

• Ability to independently manage cases and take ownership from strategy through resolution

• Willingness to appear in person throughout the Raleigh/Durham area and surrounding jurisdictions , with remote appearances as appropriate (Remote appearance will mean the Attorney will travel to appear in person)
