About the Role
As Portfolio Lead within our Wellington Regional team in Pacific Health, you will manage commissioning contract portfolios with business and financial acumen. Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Managing relevant contract portfolios
- Implement the National Pacific Health Commissioning Framework
- Support the Pacific Health budget for commissioning by building strong and sound financial management systems and reporting mechanisms
- Identify critical issues for Pacific provider contracts from lifting district boundaries and supporting Te Pae Tata outcomes
- Build high-trust relationships and ensure effective engagement with the sector, Pacific communities and wider providers

The Pacific Health Directorate is dedicated to improving health outcomes for Pacific communities through strategic planning, effective funding allocation, workforce development and strong partnerships with providers and stakeholders. As part of this collaborative and impact-driven team, you will contribute to initiatives that support equitable access to healthcare and culturally responsive services.

- A relevant tertiary or professional qualification or relevant experience
- Can demonstrate knowledge and experience in managing contract portfolios and building sound financial management and reporting mechanisms
- Can demonstrate previous successful partnership with Pacific Peoples Communities
- Experience working in complex teams in an organisation, either regionally or nationally
- Successful experience creating a team culture in which people proactively try new approaches, learn and develop and find ways to continuously improve in their area of expertise
- Experience in building and sustaining effective working relationships
