Overview Job Title: Modeling Lead Oncology Global HEVA (Health Economics & Value Assessment) Within the Modeling Team Location: Cambridge, MA / Morristown, NJ About the Job: Join the team transforming care for people with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and neurological conditions. In Specialty Care, you’ll help deliver breakthrough treatments that bring hope to patients with some of the highest unmet needs. Responsibilities Provide strategic development and use of predictive and economic models to understand disease and quantify the value of products to patients, providers, and payers. Design and implement cost-effectiveness and budget impact models to evaluate economic impact and value to support the market access strategy for the portfolio. Ensure timely availability of complex and/or simple clinical and economic models that meet payer needs. Consult with HEVA Business Partners and Value & Access to determine model requirements and timelines. Undertake what-if modeling to support product strategy and development decisions. Provide guidance to markets on model adaptation and support countries for local HTA submissions. Conceptualize advanced model design and work on methodological aspects of modeling. Analyze prospectively collected health economic data for inclusion in models. Manage external vendors supporting modeling work and be accountable for development and validation tasks. Interact with Pricing and external advisors; lead Economic Platform workstream related to allocated projects. Report to the Modeling Head within the Global HEVA function. Qualifications Masters Degree in Statistics and/or Health Economics; PhD in Economics, Health Economics, (Pharmaco)epidemiology, or related field is a plus; public health or related field is a plus. Proven track record (at least 5 years) in HEOR disciplines including data analyses, health economic methodology and modeling, scientific methodology, publications, decision modeling, and input to clinical trials/observational studies. Experience in design and execution of state-of-the-art modeling techniques (including mathematical modeling) and partitioned survival modeling. Experience in advanced survival analysis (extrapolation, cure model, relative survival) and using R. Proven ability to construct and use models for internal decision-making and payer-facing use. Experience initiating and delivering health economic models and tools to support country reimbursement and access in multiple regions (e.g., Europe, US, Asia-Pacific). Experience in early modeling for portfolio strategy and cross-therapeutic areas, including oncology. Strong English communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-expert audiences. Strong analytical and statistical skills, data analysis knowledge, and understanding of health utility assessment. Excellent organizational and communication skills, cross-functional collaboration, and project management experience. Why Choose Us?
