Position Summary Virginia Transformer is seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse and distribution operations in Rincon, Georgia . This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for managing a large-scale industrial warehouse supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading high-volume warehouse operations, driving continuous improvement, developing teams, and delivering world-class safety, inventory accuracy, and customer service. This is not a developmental position. We are seeking a proven warehouse leader who has successfully managed large distribution or manufacturing warehouse operations, led sizable teams, and consistently improved operational performance. Key Responsibilities Warehouse & Distribution Leadership Lead all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, staging, shipping, and inventory management. Optimize warehouse layout, material flow, and space utilization. Ensure timely, accurate material movement supporting both manufacturing and customer deliveries. Establish operational excellence through standardized processes and execution. Facility Growth & Expansion Lead warehouse startups, expansions, relocations, or major operational changes. Design warehouse layouts and racking strategies. Select and implement material handling equipment including forklifts, cranes, conveyors, and storage systems. Execute staffing, training, and successful operational launches. Inventory Management Own inventory accuracy through cycle counting and inventory control processes. Reduce material loss, damage, and obsolescence. Partner closely with Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Logistics to ensure uninterrupted material flow. Leadership & Talent Development Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and hourly employees. Build staffing models and labor plans that support business growth. Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Safety & Compliance Champion a safety-first culture. Ensure OSHA compliance and safe operation of all warehouse equipment. Drive Lean initiatives focused on productivity, throughput, warehouse capacity, and operational efficiency. Develop KPIs and performance dashboards. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality. Systems & Analytics Utilize ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to improve operational performance. Monitor key metrics including: Inventory Accuracy Dock-to-Stock Time On-Time Shipping Labor Productivity Safety Performance Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience leading warehouse, materials, or inventory operations within a manufacturing environment . Experience managing internal manufacturing warehouses , including receiving, inventory control, kitting, material staging, and production support. Demonstrated experience developing and managing kitting operations and ensuring timely material delivery to manufacturing. Experience leading warehouse and materials teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse layout, material flow, cycle counting, and inventory accuracy. Experience utilizing ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar). Demonstrated success improving safety, inventory accuracy, productivity, and on-time material availability for manufacturing. Preferred Experience supporting engineered-to-order (ETO) , heavy industrial, electrical equipment, capital equipment, or metal fabrication manufacturing. Experience with material planning, Kanban, line-side replenishment, and production scheduling. Experience leading warehouse expansions, process improvements, or facility optimization initiatives. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent continuous improvement experience. Forklift and material handling equipment knowledge. Expertise in kitting, material staging, line-side replenishment, and production material flow . A hands-on leadership style with the ability to build and develop high-performing warehouse and materials teams. Strong understanding of inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse optimization, and ERP/WMS systems. A continuous improvement mindset focused on eliminating waste, improving material availability, and increasing operational efficiency. Data-driven decision-making supported by warehouse KPIs and inventory metrics. Excellent communication and collaboration with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
