Job Type Full Time Job Reference 338612BR City Chicago Responsibilities support daily and periodic index calculation, validation and distribution activities, including benchmark setup, maintenance, reconciliation and deactivation, in line with agreed service level agreements (SLAs) across the full lifecycle. respond to internal queries to clarify, verify, reconcile and control security, index, benchmark and performance data, ensuring completeness, accuracy and timeliness. control, analyse, calculate and maintain systems and databases to ensure the accuracy and integrity of static and time-series data across applications. follow, document and review standard operating procedures to ensure they remain fit for purpose and aligned with operational requirements. perform business analysis and define requirements for data management processes and system workflows. support user acceptance testing (UAT) and production releases, working closely with data vendors, operations teams and stakeholders to resolve data issues and meet SLA commitments. Qualifications a university degree, ideally in Business Management, Finance or Information Technology. strong knowledge of securities, pricing, indices, fixed income analytics, asset classes and financial instruments. solid experience in reconciliation, root cause analysis, complex issue resolution and documenting findings clearly. strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain both technical and non-technical topics to stakeholders. working knowledge of leading market data platforms such as Rimes, Bloomberg, ICE and Refinitiv. proficiency in data analysis and manipulation tools, including Excel, VBA, macros, SQL and ETL tools such as Alteryx. basic scripting knowledge, such as Python or Shell, to support automation initiatives. ideally, exposure to tools such as Power BI, SimCorp Dimension, Power Automate and other Power Apps. ideally, familiarity with index licensing and vendor management. Team & Location You will be part of the Data Services team within Asset Management – Group Operations, aligned to traditional operations. In this role you will support the team’s day‑to‑day processes, including the delivery of timely, accurate and complete benchmark, index and analytics data to the UBS Asset Management Division. The team provides 24/7 coverage to support the asset management division, with members based in Chicago, Zurich, Krakow, Singapore and Pune.
