Description

• Conduct patient evaluations in inpatient or outpatient environments, creating personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual
• Administer physical therapy techniques aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional capacity
• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including nurses, doctors, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals, to promote the best possible patient outcomes
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic goals, planning for discharge, and continued exercises to do at home
• Record all evaluations, treatments, and patient progress according to regulatory standards and facility protocols
• Engage in interdisciplinary care rounds and conferences to ensure seamless coordination of rehabilitation efforts

Education

• Hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable accredited degree

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Preferred CPR certification
• Specialized certifications (such as neurological or geriatric therapy) are advantageous but not necessary

• Preference for prior experience in the field
