For more information, please visit our website at Job Summary The Southwest Healthcare team is seeking an on-site Full‑Time IS Support Tech at our Palmdale Regional Medical Center location. The Information Services (I.S.) Support Technician provides technical support to multiple facilities across the Region, including healthcare staff and physicians, as well as internal and external employees. Responsibilities Provides Tier II support for hardware, software, and networking issues related to Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) technical assets. Responds to user requests via online work‑orders, phone, instant messaging, and in‑person communication. Uses an online knowledge base to ask appropriate questions and make informed decisions. Escalates issues requiring higher‑level troubleshooting to the appropriate Tier III support staff through the online trouble ticket system. Performs installation and maintenance of end‑user workstations, hospital‑issued phones, and related peripherals. Troubleshoots problems, performs minor repairs to equipment, and arranges for additional servicing as needed. Installs and maintains desktop equipment and its peripherals at all levels. Advises supervisors on equipment requirements, problem areas, and recommends solutions. Qualifications Education / Training / Experience: High School Graduate or equivalent required. Associate's degree in a computer‑related field or trade school certificate preferred. 1-2 years of experience in computer hardware, software, break/fix, and troubleshooting (acute care setting preferred). 1-2 years of customer support experience for Windows 10 in an enterprise environment (acute care setting preferred). Certifications / Licenses: A+ or N+ certification desired. Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation required; daily travel between facilities is necessary. Other Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of PCs and applications. Self‑starter with initiative and ability to investigate and solve problems independently. Strong understanding of clinical workflow and electronic medical records. Familiarity with computer equipment, TCP/IP networking, and printer troubleshooting. Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and customer service skills. Ability to diagnose workstation, peripheral, and printer problems, document support actions, and track resolution steps.
