Workers' Compensation - Permanent Lost Time Adjuster

Overview Location: San Diego, CA. This is a full-time, remote position that may require occasional travel to claim review meetings with clients. Compensation: $36.00 - $40.00 / hour. We are seeking a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster to manage a caseload of workers’ compensation indemnity claims from inception to resolution, maintaining communication with clients, producers, and employers. This role requires diary management to ensure timely benefit administration and high-quality claims management. This role is a full-time position and may require occasional travel to client claim review meetings. Responsibilities Conduct and direct investigations to determine AOE/COE, including 24-hour 3-point contact to EE, ER & MD Establish initial reserves in a timely manner and maintain accurate reserves based on probable outcome on all claims Authorize appropriate medical care, issue timely indemnity benefits and manage all legal aspects of all claims Provide quality customer service to clients, producers, employers and injured workers Determine settlement value and resolution while moving all cases towards appropriate closure Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience California Workers’ Compensation experience is required WCCA or WCCP designation preferred Self-Insured License preferred Multiple years’ experience handling Workers’ Compensation claims, including indemnity and legal claims Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Benefits Medical, dental, and vision plans A 401k plan with employer matching Discretionary Time Off for exempt employees and PTO for non-exempt employees Paid holidays Life insurance and short-term and long-term disability plans Diversity and Inclusion Davies is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and values all voices.
