About the Job

Anchor-Ventana Glass is a fast paced, well established, commercial and residential glass and glazing company that has been in business for over 40 years. We are one of the larger glass and glazing contractors serving major general contractors in the central Texas/Austin area:

• Hiring experienced Commercial Glaziers. Must have the knowledge and ability to fabricate and/or install most commercial glass systems. Pay depends on experience.
• Hiring trainees, no experience necessary. Will train on fabrication and installation.

Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background screening.

Requirements/Abilities:

• Proficient at cutting and drilling mirror, glass, and metal.
• Excellent knowledge and recognition of framing members, both curtainwall and storefront.
• Proficient in the use of the products, tools, and procedures utilized in the Glazing trade.
• Can safely handle glass.
• Demonstrate the ability to work on and solve problems independently the majority of the time.
• Capable of speaking, reading and writing in English.
• Possess good communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Able to lift and carry 75 pounds, including up a flight of stairs.
• Able to maintain a squatting position for extended periods.
• Able to stand and walk at minimum 8 hours a day.
• Able to climb an extension ladder.

Education:

• High School diploma/GED preferred.

Hours: Normal Business Hours are Monday thru Friday 6 am - 4 pm. Hours are subject to business needs, must be flexible.
