Estimator - Commercial Glass / Glazing

At Anchor-Ventana Glass, the Commercial Glazing Estimator is responsible for reviewing blueprints, specifications and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates on construction projects. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for bidding construction projects. Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized bids. Cost estimates for a storefront, curtain wall, entrances, hardware, and glass/glazing. Provide detailed scope of work on proposals. Log all bids on Bid Log and follow up/update as needed. Update upcoming jobs to bid, communicate with the team on which jobs were bid or not bid. Develop and cultivate relationships with the construction industry. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors. Verify scope and price of contract matches the bid proposal. Sell products and answer questions for all customers. Perform other duties as required. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE Three or more years of experience in Estimating with specific knowledge of storefront and glazing application, glass and framing systems, and commercial construction background. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Knowledge of commercial construction practices. Working understanding of glass types and framing systems. Good communication skills and sales ability. Keen attention to detail and organization. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Ability to handle multiple projects and/or estimates at one time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
