Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantLHH is seeking Senior Accountant candidates for a great open-ended contract position that can be temp to hire with a top company in Hauppauge. This is an on-site position requiring full-time presence in office. The desired candidate will have previous experience working in accounting or finance with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 3–5 years of relevant experience. The pay rate for this position is $36 - $42 an hour and $75,000 - $95,000/annually.Responsibilities:Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statementsLead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesAnalyze financial results and variances, providing insights to leadershipMaintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting standardsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesSupport internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentationCoordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reportingIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controlsMaintain and update financial records, systems, and reporting toolsRequired Qualifications:3–5+ years of experience in accounting or financeStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standardsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesBenefits & Compensation:Medical, dental, and vision insurancePay Rate: $75000-$95000Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours per weekEmployment Type: Contract/TemporaryJob Location Type: On-siteIf you are interested in this opportunity, then please apply today through LHH for immediate consideration!Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
