Description & Requirements We are in search of a Returns Coordinator to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for working with local DC Leadership to manage the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of returned products. This position coordinates the return process from receipt through inspection, documentation, disposition, and resolution while working closely with customers, carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments. The Returns Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, resolving discrepancies, supporting customer satisfaction, and promoting operational efficiency within the logistics and supply chain environment. Job Description We are in search of a Returns Coordinator to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for working with local DC Leadership to manage the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of returned products. This position coordinates the return process from receipt through inspection, documentation, disposition, and resolution while working closely with customers, carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments. The Returns Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, resolving discrepancies, supporting customer satisfaction, and promoting operational efficiency within the logistics and supply chain environment. Responsibilities Include Process and document all incoming product returns, including receiving, inspection, categorization, counting, and accurate data entry into the inventory management system. Coordinate the daily processing of returns associated with multiple trucks and incoming shipments. Communicate proactively with customers, carriers, warehouse personnel, sales, operations, and other internal departments regarding return status, discrepancies, and resolutions. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure the proper physical handling, storage, identification, and disposition of returned products. Ensure all returned products and inspected by warehouse staff for condition, quantity, accuracy, and supporting documentation. Investigate and resolve return discrepancies, including incorrect items, damaged or defective products, shortages, overages, and missing or incomplete documentation. Prepare and process required documentation for customer credits, exchanges, replacements, re-stocking, or other appropriate dispositions. Maintain accurate and timely records of all return transactions, inspections, dispositions, and related activities in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensure returned products are properly identified, labeled, staged, and accounted for throughout the return process. Monitor open returns and follow up on outstanding issues to ensure timely resolution. Identify recurring return issues and trends and communicate findings and recommendations to management. Assist in developing and implementing improved return processes, procedures, and controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Support inventory accuracy by ensuring returned products are properly accounted for within applicable inventory management systems. Work collaboratively with warehouse and operations teams to maintain an organized and safe returns area. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The Ideal Candidate Will Have High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of experience in returns, warehouse operations, logistics, transportation, inventory, customer service, or a related field preferred. Experience within a transportation, distribution, warehouse, or supply chain environment preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with WMS, ERP, or inventory management systems preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to accurately count, inspect, verify, document, and process returned products and related information. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working independently and effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with customers, carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments. Ability to support and process returns associated with several trucks daily while meeting established productivity and accuracy expectations. Ability to operate warehouse equipment and safely handle products and materials as required. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to frequently lift and move products weighing 50 pounds or more, as required by the operation.
