Position Description Torque by Ryder is hiring a Permanent Full Time Automotive Technician to support our truck fleet in Tampa, FL. Pay $33.00 per hour based on experience, with a retention bonus of $2,000 paid quarterly within the first year. Schedule is a flexible 40‑hour work week (Tuesday‑Saturday) with weekend premiums. A fuel card, company cell phone, and service vehicle are provided for mobile technicians. The position offers training opportunities to level up. Assist higher‑grade automotive maintenance specialists with complex diagnostic repairs. Perform routine vehicle maintenance: tune‑ups, oil changes, tire changes, fuel filter changes, fluid checks, alignments, basic suspension replacement and light/mirror replacements. Diagnose, repair or replace engine parts including alternators, starters, radiators, injectors, transmissions and other fuel components. Perform basic diagnostics. Conduct hydraulic brake inspections, repairs and replacements. Operate mobile maintenance vehicle and travel to customer yards within assigned region. Possess general knowledge of Torque products and services. Represent Torque/Ryder to establish customer relationships. Use Salesforce and electronic documentation tools, ensuring proper documentation of work orders, customer repair authorizations and repair notes. Carry out environmental duties such as site inspections, clean‑ups/disposals, and vehicle chemical handling under guidance. Work in accordance with all federal, regional and corporate compliance guidelines. Perform additional duties as assigned.
