Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12 | 36 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for cardiac and general medical-surgical patients, including post-cardiac surgery patients.
• Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct care givers.
• Coordinate patient care activities in conjunction with other departments to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Uphold patient rights and maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information.
• Float to other units as needed — this is a non-negotiable requirement of the position.
• Adhere to facility dress code, including black scrubs, and comply with all facility policies and standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical or Cardiac Med-Surg setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR.
• Flu vaccination required for assignments running November 1 through April 1 (exemptions must be client-approved).
• Ability to maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 and meet weekend and holiday work expectations as required by the facility.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for post-cardiac surgery, cardiac, and general medical-surgical patient populations.
• Patient-focused team player with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
