Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Kinesiology on the Dahlonega campus. The primary duties will consist of teaching undergraduate courses and/or labs in the Department of Kinesiology. This position will include a tuition waiver. With full-time assistantships, graduate students teach 6 credit hours. Total hours worked (including teaching) may not exceed 25 hours per week. Responsibilities Teach six credit hours of undergraduate kinesiology coursework in the fall semester. Teach six credit hours of undergraduate kinesiology coursework in the spring semester. Participate in professional development related to pedagogy and content as provided by the Department of Kinesiology; the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Leadership; and other areas/organizations as approved by the department head. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of undergraduate coursework. Ability to deliver course content. Ability to manage a classroom. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Must be enrolled in one of the Department of Kinesiology graduate programs. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
