Position: Inside Sales Representative

Location: Seattle (Ballard)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, business hours

Pay: $27/hr.-$35/hr.

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Inside Sales Representative for one of our clients located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. They are locally rooted and have a long and respected history as an industrial supplier serving contractors, manufacturers, and trades professionals across the Seattle area. Known for reliability, deep product knowledge, and strong customer relationships, their team has built a reputation for doing business the right way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner.
• Respond to customer inquiries related to products, pricing, availability, and order details.
• Support the Outside Sales team with the preparation and processing of quotes and customer orders.
• Enter quotes and orders accurately into the POS system.
• Regularly review open or inactive (“stale”) orders and follow up on outstanding quotes.
• Assist other departments as needed, including quoting, pulling orders, creating additional orders, or issuing credits.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in inside sales, customer service, or retail sales is preferred.
• Experience selling industrial products is helpful but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and teammates.
• Ability to collaborate and work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Comfortable using POS systems and Microsoft operating systems and Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
