Assemble and prepare shipments in accordance with shipping requirements and specifications.Weigh and record weight on shipping orders. Check shipments for correct material, packing, tagging, addressing, handling, and loading. Prepare bills of lading and other required forms. Route shipments, contact carriers. Verify shipments and receipts against packing slips and bills of lading. Route materials to storage. May dispatch company vehicles.Make damage, shortage, etc. reports, make reports of shipments, prepare inventory reports.May perform other handling, inventory, and housekeeping duties as assigned. May move materials, cartons, etc., with a forklift truck, hand truck, or skid mover as required. Good judgment and initiative are required to perform work accurately and efficiently.Must have the ability to work well in a highly automated, fast-paced environment. Must be able to use RF scanners. Computer knowledge is a plus. Ability to load and unload trucks with a forklift is a plus. Prepare and check necessary receipts, records and reports. Observe methods of accomplishing work and learn operation of all equipment while assisting in various tasks.Must have at least 3 to 6 months' experience on a sit-down forklift to transport finished molded parts to prescribed areas, shrink oven, etc. and to locations in warehouse.Requirements:High school diploma or GED required1+ years forklift experience in manufacturing, shipping, or distribution requiredAbility to obtain and maintain forklift certificationComfortable working 12-hour shifts, weekends, and overtime as neededBasic computer skills (inventory tracking, system inputs)Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks in a hot environmentMust be able to wear required PPEAdditional Information:Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a background check, physical, and drug screen.Proof of employment eligibility required.This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications.
