Drill Operator - Aerospace Company
Paramount, CA
Aerospace Industry
Shift Availability:
- 1st Shift 5am
- 2nd Shift 2:30pm
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Overtime and Saturdays available
- 40 hours guaranteed per week
Duties
- Operate various drill machines, including CNC drilling centers, ensuring precise alignment and calibration based on technical drawings and production documents
- Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and technical specifications to accurately produce aerospace parts
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators to verify dimensional accuracy throughout the machining process
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime, maintaining optimal machine performance
- Perform routine inspections of tools, tooling, and machine components for wear or damage; replace or adjust as necessary to maintain quality standards
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools, shop math for measurements, and adherence to safety standards in production environments
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, measurements, and quality control checks for compliance and traceability
