Senior Manager of Communications

Seeking a full-time Senior Manager of Communications, the successful candidate will manage rapid response communications, media strategy, and external editorial content in a remote environment, ensuring timely and impactful messaging that advances civil rights initiatives. Key responsibilities Lead rapid response communications to breaking legal and policy developments, coordinating closely with legal and program teams Develop and implement PRP's media strategy, cultivating relationships with journalists and overseeing press relations Draft and review external communications materials, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational messaging Required qualifications Seven to ten years of relevant experience in communications, media relations, or public affairs, preferably in a legal or advocacy context Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience At least three years of supervisory experience in a communications role Proven track record of high-quality communications execution and rapid response in fast-paced environments Proficiency with media monitoring platforms such as Meltwater and experience preparing spokespersons for media engagements
