Assisting with activities of daily living and encouraging attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion. Acting as an advocate for disabled individuals in communicating their needs, self-expression, and goals. Providing daily individual and group contact to clients through the delivery of recreation and leisure activities. Planning and preparing for the group and special event programming for clients. Documenting weekly progress toward group and intervention participation. Participating in treatment team meetings and shift change reports. Preference will be given to individuals with six (6) months or more experience in healthcare, typically in Human Services. Agency requires current WY CNA certification. Knowledge of client protocols and interventions of therapy, Microsoft Office Suite and practice partner, procedures of specialized sensory programs, mental illnesses and disabilities, program adaptations, recreation and social programming, and motivational techniques. Minimum qualifications: Associate's Degree (typically in Healthcare) or 1-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Human Services). CNA Certification required. Physical working conditions include lifting medical/patient equipment up to about 50 lbs and working evenings, nights, and/or weekends as scheduled. A background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant. Annual influenza vaccination and testing for tuberculosis are required. Employees of this facility will be expected to follow all rules and requirements established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding COVID-19. Pre-employment drug testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions. Drug and alcohol testing will be conducted in any position if reasonable suspicion exists.
