This is a full-time position (12 hour) in Charlottesville, VA. One of the best staffed Medical/Surgical units in the state!Ideal candidates will have previous acute nursing experience in a similar scope. Up to $20,000 Sign On Bonus for qualified candidates!Schedules Available:Full-Time Day Shift (Three 12-hour shifts 7am to 7pm)Full-Time Night Shift (Three 12-hour shifts 7pm to 7am)Cornell 3 is a 24-bed medical-surgical unit focused on gastrointestinal care, addressing conditions like gallbladder diseases, appendicitis, bowel obstructions, and procedures such as colon resections and ostomy creation. The unit also cares for patients with sepsis, respiratory issues, and diabetes complications, maintaining a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 to 1:6 for personalized care. It is an ideal environment for both experienced nurses and new graduates seeking skill development. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
