Mechanic TechnicianAs a Mechanic Technician, you will work under general supervision and be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and mechanical equipment. You will utilize your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery, vehicles, and systems. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Must have all required tools to fulfill the responsibilities and requirements of the job.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards, and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, including Hazardous Energy Control Procedures (HECP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Communicate directions and specifications verbally and in writing to team members.Demonstrate high quality work, performed with limited repeat repairs and within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).Demonstrate ability to aid and train other technicians in repairs and WM procedures and policies.Use time effectively; prevent irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with work completion.Document Work and Parts Usage: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks. Record parts usage, labor hours, and diagnostic findings utilizing fleet maintenance software program.Test and Adjust Systems: Test vehicle systems and components to ensure proper functionality and alignment. Adjust settings, calibrate sensors, and perform fine-tuning as necessary to optimize performance and efficiency.Diagnose Mechanical Issues: Perform diagnostic tests to identify mechanical problems and malfunctions in vehicles, engines, and equipment. Use specialized tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues and determine the most effective repair solutions.Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.Repair and Replace Components: Conduct repairs and replacements on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components. Follow manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines to ensure quality repairs and optimal performance.Maintain Tools and Equipment: Properly maintain and care for tools, equipment, and shop facilities to ensure they are in good working condition. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to promote a safe and efficient work environment.Provide Support: Collaborate with other technicians, mechanics, and supervisors to troubleshoot complex issues and share knowledge and expertise. Offer technical guidance and assistance to junior staff members as needed.Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs, requisition new parts, and communicate immediately if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within SRTs.Perform service calls and appropriate emergency breakdown repairs.Complete all assigned mandatory online and in class training modules.QualificationsA. Required Qualifications2 years as a mechanic technician working on heavy equipment/trucks or similar role, preferably in a diesel, automotive, construction, or industrial setting and2 years inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and stationary equipment andMust be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is locatedValid Driver's License Upon Hire andB.
