Operations Manager - Mowing, Turf Management

We are seeking an Operations Manager to ensure high-quality service for our clients while leading a team of fieldworkers. This role is crucial to the efficient and profitable execution of projects and involves managing crews, coordinating resources, and maintaining strong communication with clients and internal teams. Requirements Ability to pass a background check Valid driver's license and clean driving record Experience in the following disciplines is desirable: fisheries, wildlife management, conservation, ecology, biology, environmental sciences, or forestry, pond/lake maintenance, landscaping, erosion control, or stormwater maintenance Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work in various weather conditions Proven leadership and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing conditions Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Experience operating mowers and turf equipment Collaborative team spirit with a focus on quality and results Ability to work under pressure and ensure high standards of work Possesses core values compatible with those of Dragonfly Pond Works (Teamwork, Quality of Work, Passion and Simplicity) Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise Wilmington-area mowing crews to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects Maintain a safety-first culture and adhere to best practices Train teams and perform quality assessments to meet client expectations Schedule and coordinate mowing accounts, ensuring proper routing and time management Monitor and manage equipment, inventory, and staffing needs Provide project management support for key accounts and large projects Work closely with Client Service Managers to ensure satisfaction and offer long-term solutions Perform hands‑on turf management and maintenance duties when needed Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) matching Life Insurance Flexible Spending Accounts Paid Time Off & Holiday Pay Employee Assistance Program Referral Bonus Protective Footwear Bonus Dragonfly Pond Works is a leading environmental service company specializing in stormwater management.
