Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provides expert nursing care in the emergency room setting, ensuring timely and accurate assessment, triage, and treatment for patients. Utilizes critical thinking and clinical skills to prioritize patient needs and administer appropriate interventions.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform comprehensive triage assessments to determine patient priority based on clinical and psychosocial factors.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, collect blood samples, and perform wound care following established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Move and position patients safely, ensuring comfort and safety during emergency interventions.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient conditions continuously and adjust care plans accordingly.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
  
  
• 
  Ensure supplies and equipment are stocked and maintained according to hospital policies.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current RN license to practice in Colorado.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of two years of critical care nursing experience preferred.
  
  
• 
  Valid BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire.
  
  
• 
  TNCC certification required upon hire or within 1 year.
  
  
• 
  ENPC or PALS certification required within 6 months; ENPC preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong time management and clinical decision-making skills.
