You'll collaborate closely with the regional pricing actuary, underwriting, and product teams to develop innovative pricing strategies that balance profitability with market competitiveness. You will work on the rate impact team assisting with policy re-rating, impact metrics, and state pricing scenarios.What you'll doAssist the pricing actuary in your region with rate studies, rate indications, filing support, policy re-rating, and impactsPrepare and reconcile dataConduct preliminary analysis of data and reports and review internallyConduct ad hoc reportsAssist on project tasksThis might describe youSkilled in mathematical and statistical proceduresExcellent ability to analyze various forms of statistical dataGood oral and written communication skillsGood working knowledge of coding/statistical software such as Excel, SQL, SAS, R, Python, etc.1 - 2 years of actuarial or related analytics experienceExperience with pricing tools such as Radar or Akur8Experience in re-rating and validating premiumsOther things to noteThis position is open to U.S. remote work. However, team members who reside within 20 miles of the Traverse City headquarters will follow a hybrid schedule, working from the office three days per week.This role will not be eligible for the exam programFamiliarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable
