Physical Therapist - Acute Therapy

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Physical Therapist – Acute Therapy for a Full‑Time, 1.00 FTE, Variable position. The salary range is $46.27 – $69.41. The hiring rate depends on several factors, including education, training, work experience, collective bargaining terms, seniority, and more. The schedule is four 10‑hour shifts, including Saturdays. Responsibilities Evaluates assigned patients and establishes a treatment plan and goals, using data from patient records, interviews, observation, and team members. Provides patient treatment according to plan of care and modifies plan to meet patient needs, updating it as appropriate. Completes documentation accurately, timely, and in accordance with regulatory and state licensure requirements. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth continuous care of patients; may act as liaison with nursing, medical, and other therapy staff to facilitate problem solving and coordination of services, and act as an educational resource. Mentors and provides oversight to new caregivers, physical therapist assistants, and/or therapy aides; provides clinical instruction and training to students. Recommends and participates in development of new services and programs, quality improvement, and monitoring activities. Participates in staff meetings, patient care meetings, educational in‑services, caregiver orientation, and other professional activities. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s, Master’s or degree required: Physical Therapy accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education or a closely related field (foreign equivalent accepted). Credentials Physical Therapist License, State of Washington. Upon hire, Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
