Job Description:

Embark on an energizing travel nursing assignment in a busy cardiac telemetry unit where your cardiology expertise helps monitor and stabilize patients with rhythm disturbances. You will manage critical IV medications, oversee continuous cardiac monitoring, and partner with a collaborative team to provide high-quality post-procedure and acute care. This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling and opportunities to float within the unit to strengthen your skills and patient outcomes. Ideal candidates bring solid Cardiac Tele experience, current certs like BLS and ACLS, and a proactive, compassionate approach ready to thrive in a rewarding travel assignment.

Requirements:

• Travel/Contract RN assignment
• Minimum 1 year experience; 1st Timers not accepted
• Experience managing continuous IV medications
• Cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin
• Diuretics: Bumex, Lasix
• Anticoagulants: Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin
• Insulin drips
• Adult to Geriatric patient population
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS
• Overflow IMCU; Arrhythmia management; Cardioversion; Cardiac CHF; Chest pain; Renal; Pulmonary (COPD, pulmonary edema); PE; DVT; Cardiac Arrhythmias (stable A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia)
• Post Cardiac Cath TR Bands; DKA
• Occasional Ortho or CVA patient overflow
• TR Bands and everything under Med/Surg umbrella
• Basic arrhythmia knowledge
• Ratio/Census: 1:5-6; 32 beds
• Unit Systems: Epic (Preferred); Pyxis; SBAR
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• RTO: Maximum of 7 days per contract
• Weekends: Typically every other weekend; traveler fill gaps
• Floating: Yes
• Call requirements: Call is rare; response time 2 hours
• Holidays: Major holidays coverage as listed
• Compliance: Full compliance required; bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Locals accepted - Same rate
