Kindergarten Teacher

We are seeking a Christ-centered Kindergarten teacher who is called to be part of our Guardian Academy team and is skilled in helping students grow in academic excellence built upon a biblical worldview. Job Responsibilities Teach letter and number recognition Teach phonics and an awareness of nature and science Lead Bible time daily during the first and most important part of the day Model, demonstrate, and teach Christian character traits to students Use play-based learning and hands‑on teaching methods Encourage creativity with art and craft projects Monitor Children’s Interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing Maintain order in the classroom Work closely with administration, staff, and other teachers Maintain records of progress and discuss progress with parents Attend and participate in staff meetings and extracurricular events/activities Assist with student drop-off, pick-up, and lunch‑hour monitoring Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the education field A Current Ohio Teaching License, or a Permanent Non‑Tax Certification All Guardian Academy Staff Members will be asked to comply with both BCI and FBI background checks. One Year of Teaching Experience Excellent communication with students, parents, and staff Excellent organizational skills Flexible in fulfilling needs of Guardian Academy when needed (i.e., covering another class if able) and adaptive to last‑minute changes Demonstrate the ability to receive and apply constructive criticism Demonstrate the ability to be flexible and calm under pressure and during change Highly motivated with the ability to work and complete tasks unsupervised Solution‑oriented and creative problem solver Time Requirements Monday through Friday 7:45am to 3:45pm while school is in operation Any Teacher In‑Service dates as outlined in the Teacher Handbook and annual Schedule Any Staff Meetings required by Principal or any other leader Any mandatory orientation or extra‑curricular activity requested by the school Director and/or Principal Benefits Health/Dental/Vision Life Insurance 403B Savings Plan Paid time off as dictated by your individual contract Free continued education on Lynda.com and masterclass.com Core Values Love for God Love for the vision of our Senior Pastors.
