Special Education Teacher

Position: Special Education Teacher – Westside Elementary Job Summary: Provide instruction and related services as identified on IEPs to students with varying disabilities; ensure all procedural safeguards are followed; provide appropriate instruction to assist IEP students in reaching goals. Perform all responsibilities for the position as identified in Job Description Teacher‑Special Education found on our website; serve as case manager for identified students as per District, State of Wyoming, and Federal rules and regulations. Qualifications B.A. or B.S. Degree Qualified for a Standard Teaching Certificate as issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board with Exceptional—Generalist, and Elementary endorsements required Knowledge/Experience of Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Successful teaching/student teaching experience; with experience at the level(s) for which applying preferred Successful experience as case manager and multi‑categorical resource room teaching experience with inclusion preferred Self‑directed, self‑motivated, and goal‑oriented highly desirable Team oriented; history of professional growth; demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of personalities, settings, teaching staff, and administrators Salary: District Salary Schedule (2026-2027 Base = $60,100.00) Employment Term: Full‑time – 185‑day contract Beginning Date: 2026-2027 reporting date for staff – August 13, 2026 (New staff will have orientation before this date) Park County School District #1 does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability in admission or access to, or treatment of employment in, its educational programs or activities.
