Head of Clinical Development

Intellia Therapeutics seeks a Head of Clinical Development to lead clinical strategy and oversight for its gene-editing therapy portfolio, including programs in hereditary angioedema and transthyretin amyloidosis. The role reports to the Chief Medical Officer and requires a physician scientist with extensive biopharmaceutical development experience to manage a cross-functional team and guide regulatory interactions.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead Medical Directors and Clinical Scientists team with collaborative development strategy
• Provide strategic and medical leadership for clinical development activities across HAE and TTR programs
• Author and oversee clinical and regulatory documents including protocols, investigator brochures, and regulatory submissions
• Lead medical monitoring of clinical trials, adverse event reporting, and patient safety oversight
• Engage with external scientific experts and regulatory consultants to develop robust study designs

Requirements

• MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree
• 10+ years biopharmaceutical clinical or medical experience; 7+ years clinical development
• Strong critical thinking, written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with innovative clinical study design and regulatory pathways
• Deep knowledge of ICH-GCP, drug development from pre-IND through BLA
• Experience interacting with US and EU health authorities
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 15%
