Step into a rewarding school contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year, supporting student communication needs in a vibrant community near Hammond, IN. Serving as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you’ll make a direct impact in the lives of elementary and middle school students—playing a critical role in their educational journey and social development. This onsite-only role is ideal for professionals who thrive in collaborative settings and are passionate about supporting diverse student populations.
This assignment begins on August 12, 2026, and continues through May 26, 2027, offering 37.5 hours per week and the chance to work alongside a committed educational team.
Desired Background:
- Current and valid SLP licensure required to practice in school settings
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience providing speech and language services to school-aged children
- Strong capacity to adapt across elementary and middle school environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage caseloads of 45-55 students efficiently
- Previous experience in school settings highly regarded
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to elementary and/or middle school students
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and collaborate on team meetings
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student outcomes
- Provide direct services in-person across assigned building(s)
- Participate in school events, professional development, and ongoing caseload planning
