Step into a dynamic educational environment and make a meaningful difference as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students during the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position is ideal for professionals passionate about fostering communication skills in elementary and middle school populations. The assignment requires onsite support in the Gary, IN area, with two total SLP roles available.
Key Details:
- Contract duration: August 12, 2026 – May 26, 2027
- Weekly commitment: 37.5 hours
- Caseload: Ranging from 45–55 students
- One SLP will provide services across an elementary school and a middle school.
- The second SLP will support two middle schools.
- All roles are strictly onsite, serving students with varied needs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current SLP licensure (CCC required) for school-based practice
- Previous experience in educational settings, especially working with elementary or middle school students
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload across one or more buildings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement therapy for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and services provided
- Partner with educators and families to deliver comprehensive support
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school meetings
