Schedule & Location Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Repair / maintenance shop at our Minocqua, WI hauling site Stable hours for the financial security and work‑life balance you need Role Each day you’ll fix the trucks and equipment that service over 20 million customers across the USA. As a Diesel Mechanic you can take pride in watching a truck roll out of the shop, knowing your local community will be supported by your hard work. Our mechanics take their careers to the next level by working on equipment that requires a high level of skill – and determination. You’ll be using modern tools and procedures to deliver exceptional maintenance on both diesel equipment and, at some locations, on our growing fleet of CNG trucks. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns Conduct safety checks on vehicles – the safety of every employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures Qualifications 2 years of relevant work experience Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Over 18 years of age Legal eligibility to work in the United States Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical Desired Attributes Team players who care about everyone in the shop Happy working independently and as part of a team Enjoy variety – every day provides a new challenge Determined problem solvers Physical Demands Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasional sitting and balancing Exposure to physical occupational risks (cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, etc.) often Exposure to physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often Operations in both inside garage/shop and outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity Seniority Level Entry level Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Management and Manufacturing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at WM by 2x If this sounds like the opportunity that you have been looking for, please click "Apply." #J-18808-Ljbffr WM
