If you are interested please apply with resume to [email protected] Job#: 3013704 Position Description This position is responsible for maintaining the Unix infrastructure by assisting in the design, development, and deployment of the standard operating systems and associated tooling. As a Senior Unix Engineer, you will help lead the technical direction for this platform in accordance with established standards and policies. Responsibilities and Qualifications Act as the technical subject matter expert; drive, design and build the next generation of Unix and/or platform services. Support an infrastructure‑as‑code foundation for our public and private clouds. Practice and advocate for infrastructure engineering best practices like GitOps. Balance strategic and tactical skills and work on cross‑functional teams. Collaborate with peers and leadership to ensure development best practices are learned, followed, and applied. Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations. Develop detailed plans, diagrams, and documentation, and implement company‑wide projects, communicating with and coordinating among agencies, end users and peers. With minimal supervision, evaluate, install, test, implement, and support new versions or updates to enterprise hardware or software. Coordinate and oversee work provided by agencies on highly complex system installations using standardized work plans. Coordinate activities of project team or other team members on small to medium‑sized projects. Participate in rotating on‑call schedule.
