The Member and Parent Coordinator is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to members, parents, volunteers and the community. He/She manages the front desk operations including membership enrollment, tracking member attendance, collection and processing of fees, assisting with Club tours, providing information to parents, submitting financial and attendance reports.

Key roles include managing all aspects of the front desk, ensuring front desk policies and procedures are followed, cordially greeting and assisting all members, parents, volunteers, staff and community members who enter the building, creating a positive and friendly environment where everyone feels welcome, updating membership registrations/information in the Vision Member Tracking system, communicating with appropriate staff about any pertinent information included on member application, greeting members warmly as they arrive; entering member attendance each day, ensuring phones are answered, transferring calls and/or taking and delivering messages when necessary; checking messages regularly and returning calls as soon as possible, preferably same day, collecting and recording all fee payments, promoting member enrollment; ensuring Member database is updated and complete, assisting Unit Director with logging all member discipline/incident reports, assisting Unit Director in reconciling cash with Vision reports and providing to Controller on a timely basis, providing attendance and other member-related data to administration as requested, communicating with members and parents on a regular basis, including providing information about upcoming events, programs, community assistance organizations, etc., being a liaison between Club staff/leadership and the schools/other Club partners with staff and leadership as needed, attending staff meetings as scheduled, contacting the Vice President of Operations if there is an emergency, particularly if emergency personnel (fire, police, EMT, etc.) are called, assisting with establishing building safety procedures and training staff and members on them as needed, assisting with membership recruitment and Club tours, and other duties as assigned.

Additional responsibilities include being assigned special projects by the Unit Director, participating in the after school pick up program if necessary, and assisting with the outreach of new members.

Skills/knowledge required include a high school diploma or equivalent, two years' related experience working with youth/family oriented agencies, demonstrated ability and interest in working with youth, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail, strong communication skills, both oral and written, skilled in Microsoft Office products and database management, and the ability to demonstrate the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana programs and philosophy.
