General Production WorkerThe Operator II, Manufacturing assists with all aspects of production and quality control testing of raw and process materials for the Transplant Diagnostics business.ResponsibilitiesEnsure quality assay manufacturing by following standard procedures for dispensing of biological reagents.Prepare reagents and buffers.Print labels and label bottles, vials, and boxes.Package, seal, and scan assays.Perform production tasks on different product lines as needed.Responsible for the safe and secure storage and monitoring of inventories, products, and in-house supplies.Set up and operate equipment of moderate complexity.Update raw material inventories.Assist in processing final product and prepare buffer solutions.Assist in maintaining a safe environment.Develop, write, and institute necessary protocols.Solve problems that may arise in the department.Efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Assist supervisor in all aspects of manufacturing processes.Maintain confidentiality of laboratory data and processes.Maintain work schedules as assigned.Notify supervisor or manager of any unsafe conditions and take appropriate corrective actions.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or related field.Two years of laboratory experience.Knowledge of laboratory procedures and practices.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to organize self and maintain assigned work schedules.Capability to read, understand, and implement written laboratory procedures.Proficiency in handling and working with biological and chemical reagents.Additional Skills & QualificationsGED or High School Diploma.Willingness to submit to a drug test and background check.Ability to work in a manufacturing setting.Why Work Here?Joining our team means contributing to important work that impacts the world by helping customers find cures for cancer, protecting the environment, or ensuring food safety.
