Principal Engineer- Wireless Operations

DescriptionThe Principal Engineer I – Wireless / WiFi Operations serves as the Director's trusted technical leader and deployment authority within the Wireless WiFi Operations organization. This individual owns a technical domain end-to-end and acts as the final technical review before production deployments occur.Responsibilities include:Reviewing and approving Tier 2 engineers' MOPs, configurations, and deployment plansOwning wireless infrastructure platforms such as wireless controllers, AAA/RADIUS, WAG/BNG, firewalls, ACLs, or automation platformsExecuting firmware upgrades, maintenance windows, configuration campaigns, and hardware replacementsServing as a Tier 3 escalation resource during production incidentsPerforming root cause analysis and working directly with vendor TAC organizationsDeveloping operational automation using Python, Ansible, CI/CD, and APIsAuditing and remediating standards compliance across the networkMentoring engineers and elevating overall technical capabilityPartnering with planning, design, operations, NOC, and vendor teamsCommunicating effectively with technical teams and executive leadership during outages and operational eventsSkillsNetwork engineering, AAA/RADIUS Troubleshooting, CLI Administration, Python Automation, Wireless/WiFi Operations, Ruckus SmartZone (vSZ), Nokia SR-series Routers (SROS), Ansible, Splunk, GrafanaTop Skills DetailsNetwork engineering,AAA/RADIUS Troubleshooting,CLI Administration,Python Automation,Wireless/WiFi OperationsAdditional Skills & QualificationsTechnical environment includes Ruckus SmartZone controllers, Nokia AAA and WAG/BNG routers, Cisco ASA firewalls, Juniper SRX firewalls, Ruckus ICX switches, A10 load balancers, Python, Ansible, GitLab CI, FastAPI, Splunk, Grafana, Jira, Remedy, and NOC operational platforms.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Greenwood Village, CO.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $190000.00/yr.in progress of getting this informationWorkplace TypeThis is a hybrid position in Greenwood Village,CO.Application DeadlineThis position is anticipated to close on Aug 7, 2026.About TEKsystemsWe're partners in transformation.
