This full-time contract position provides you the chance to engage with an elementary SDC caseload, collaborating closely with dedicated staff while nurturing a positive learning atmosphere for exceptional students.
Your experience and commitment to serving students with unique learning challenges is invaluable. The role starts as soon as possible and continues through June 4, 2027, giving you the time to truly impact those you teach.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and active California teaching credential in Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN) required (please include a screenshot of current CTC)
- Previous experience in a Special Day Class (SDC) or similar setting recommended
- Strong ability to adapt instruction and interventions to individual student needs
- Collaborative spirit to partner with staff, families, and specialists
- Effective communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals and abilities
- Create a structured, inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic and social growth
- Employ evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction for diverse learners
- Work alongside support teams, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Monitor, assess, and report student progress, adjusting programs as needed
