Patient Service Representative

Title: Office Admin (Patient Care II)/ Patient Services Representative

Location: White Plains, NY 10604

Duration: Approx. 6+ Months

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm EST

Work Schedule: Full-time (40 Hours)

Responsibilities:

• Provides a high level of customer service to patients, referral sources, and fellow employees.
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with patients and referral sources
• Obtains, verifies, and accurately enters patient demographic and insurance information
• Maintains accurate and complete patient files and documentation in accordance with Company policies and established procedures
• Protects the privacy and security of protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA and applicable privacy requirements
• Supports patient follow-up activities as directed
• Efficiently manages multiple phone lines and responds to patient, referral source, and internal inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Records and maintains clear, concise, accurate, and timely written documentation
• Files patient charts and other documentation in accordance with established guidelines
• Coordinates practitioner schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for patient appointments and out-of-office calls
• Supports daily front office operations and assists with administrative tasks as needed
• Identifies patient or operational issues and escalates them to the appropriate team member when necessary
• Maintains confidentiality of patient, employee, and Company information
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Two to Four Years of customer service, administrative, healthcare , or related experience required
• Previous experience in a receptionist , patient services, medical office , or healthcare front office environment preferred
• Experience working with patient information, insurance verification , scheduling , or electronic medical records is preferred.
