The Role
As a Tax Senior, you will prepare and review individual and business tax returns, own your engagements from start to finish, and help newer team members grow. This is a hands-on seat on a team where everyone wears a few hats, so you will see a wide variety of work and have real room to step up as the firm grows.
What You Will Do
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns with a sharp eye for accuracy
- Manage multiple tax and accounting engagements at once and keep them on track
- Research tax questions and bring practical solutions to clients and teammates
- Support proactive tax planning that helps clients reduce liabilities and plan ahead
- Assist with technical memos and other client deliverables
- Work directly with clients, anticipate their concerns, and escalate issues when needed
- Keep management and staff informed of developments in tax legislation
- Mentor and train staff and interns
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- About 2 to 5 years of public accounting tax experience
- CPA or EA, or active progress toward one
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication and a collaborative, team-first attitude
