Yoh Staffing in Austin is seeking a reliavle Lab Tech Engineering Test Technician for a Semiconductor company. Job Title: Lab Engineering Test Technician. Location: North Austin, Texas. Shift: First shift (flexible start time; typically within 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM window). Experience Required: 2–3 years. Pay Rate: $34/hr. Insurance benefits offered. Overview Seeking a highly skilled, detail‑oriented Lab Engineering Test Technician. Role supports engineering design, manufacturing testing, and product diagnostics. Ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with tool installations, hardware validation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and precision‑driven work. Key Responsibilities Enforce and maintain safety compliance, safety standards, and 6S practices Maintain accurate documentation including logbooks and test procedures Support installation of new systems including Main Frame and Factory Interface tools Assist with field upgrades and system modifications Perform complex electro‑mechanical tasks including design, testing, troubleshooting, and assembly Work with experimental circuitry, prototype models, and specialized lab/test equipment Troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level electrical and mechanical issues Interpret and follow engineering drawings, Operational Method Sheets (OMS), and Management of Change (MOC) processes Build custom cables from sketches or diagrams, including crimping and connector assembly Manage Facility Service Requests (FSR) and coordinate with Facilities, Engineering, and Safety teams Support hardware requirements for new tool installations, removals, and upgrades Ensure disciplined, detail‑focused execution of multi‑step technical tasks Communicate effectively across cross‑functional teams Required Qualifications 2–3 years of relevant lab, manufacturing, or engineering technician experience Strong electro‑mechanical troubleshooting and assembly skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation Experience with cable fabrication, electrical connectors, and wiring Knowledge of engineering lab and manufacturing processes Strong attention to detail and process discipline Effective verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications Semiconductor equipment manufacturing experience (highly preferred) Work Environment Onsite lab and manufacturing setting Hands‑on technical work with equipment, tools, and test systems Collaborative, cross‑functional engineering environment Benefits Medical, Prescription, Dental & Vision Benefits (for employees working 20+ hours per week) Health Savings Account (HSA) (for employees working 20+ hours per week) Life & Disability Insurance (for employees working 20+ hours per week) MetLife Voluntary Benefits Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401K Retirement Savings Plan Direct Deposit & weekly epayroll Referral Bonus Programs Certification & training opportunities Equal Opportunity Employer and Legal Notices Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
