Onsite Buyers AP/SCV/ARIBA - $31-38 /hr, Semiconductor, 40 hr/wk - Contract, Austin TX

Onsite Intermediate Materials Buyer needed for a 12-month contract role located in Austin, Texas. Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with slight variation as needed. Onsite role only, not remote. $28-31 per hour. One year contract. Health, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) and EAP Program. Required: Procurement Software SAP/SCV/ARIBA. What You Will Be Doing: Negotiates pricing and other terms of purchase under supervision. Manages non‑strategic suppliers ( Works with engineering and MPM or SCM to recommend new suppliers. Issues RFQs, analyzes proposals, negotiates prices and delivery, issues or adjusts purchase orders timely. Follows orders, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains records. Leads purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. Leads problem resolution for material related accounting and receiving issues. Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines. Shows understanding of supply chain processes and purchasing strategies. Knowledge of inventory management and logistics. Familiarity with contract management and vendor relations. Strong communication skills to collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams. Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. What You Need to Bring: Knowledge of best practices and integration with others; awareness of competition and differentiation factors. Significant experience in purchasing or procurement, 3–5 years. Experience in a similar industry or with relevant products may be required. Acts as a resource for colleagues; may lead small projects with manageable risks. Solves complex problems; new perspective on solutions; exercises judgment based on multiple sources. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, or related field. 3–5 years of practical experience. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing. Excellent analytical skills to assess vendors and evaluate product quality and cost-effectiveness. Proficiency in procurement software SAP/SCV/ARIBA. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Motivation, initiative, collaboration, connectivity, and coaching.
