Onsite Buyers AP/SCV/ARIBA - $31-38 /hr, Semiconductor, 40 hr/wk - Contract, Austin TX

Onsite Intermediate Materials Buyer needed for a 12‑month contract role located in Austin, Texas. Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with slight variation as needed. Onsite role only, not remote. Hourly rate: $31–38 per hour. One‑year contract. Health, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and EAP program. Required: procurement software SAP/SCV/ARIBA. Estimated Min Rate: $28.00. All qualified applicants are welcome to apply. What You Will Be Doing Negotiates pricing and other terms of purchase under supervision. Manages non‑strategic suppliers (none QFM) Works with engineering and MPM or SCM to recommend new suppliers. Issues RFQs, analyzes proposals, negotiates prices and delivery, issues and/or adjusts purchase orders in a timely manner. Follows up on orders, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. Negotiates vendor contracts, as appropriate. Follows purchasing business processes. Leads purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. Leads problem resolution for material related accounting and receiving issues. Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines. Has understanding of supply chain processes and purchasing strategies. Knowledge of inventory management and logistics. Familiarity with contract management and vendor relations. Strong communication skills to collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams. Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. What You Need to Bring to the Table Knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; awareness of competition and differentiating factors in the market. Significant experience in purchasing or procurement, often ranging from 3 to 5 years. Experience in a similar industry or with specific products relevant to the hiring organization may be required. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information. Preferred Qualifications A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field is typically preferred with 3 to 5 years of practical experience. Explains difficult or sensitive information and works to build consensus. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing. Excellent analytical skills to assess vendors and evaluate product quality and cost‑effectiveness. Proficiency in procurement software SAP/SCV/ARIBA.
