Onsite Buyers AP/SCV/ARIBA - $31-38 /hr, Semiconductor, 40 hr/wk - Contract, Austin TX (BH-396714) Location: Austin, United States Sector: Purchasing & Procurement Hours: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday (slight variation as needed) Contract: 12‑month Salary: $31-38 per hour Estimated Minimum Rate: $28.00 Estimated Maximum Rate: $31.00 Benefits: Health, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), EAP Program What You Will Be Doing: Negotiate pricing and other terms of purchase under supervision. Manage non‑strategic suppliers under $5M. Quote materials; procure materials, components, equipment and services at lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and urgency. Work with engineering, MPM or SCM to recommend new suppliers. Issue RFQs, analyze proposals, negotiate prices and delivery, issue/adjust purchase orders, follow up on orders, verify delivery, approve payment, maintain records. Negotiate vendor contracts as appropriate and follow purchasing business processes. Lead purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. Lead problem resolution for material‑related accounting and receiving issues. Demonstrate conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines. Understand supply chain processes and purchasing strategies. Know inventory management and logistics. Be familiar with contract management and vendor relations. Strong communication skills to collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams. Work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. What You Need to Bring: Knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; aware of competition and differentiators. Significant experience in purchasing or procurement, 3‑5 years. Experience in a similar industry or with relevant products (may be required). Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience; lead small projects with manageable risks. Solve complex problems; take new perspective and exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple information sources. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, or related field (typically preferred). Practical experience 3‑5 years. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing. Excellent analytical skills to assess vendors and evaluate product quality and cost‑effectiveness. Proficiency in procurement software SAP/SCV/ARIBA. Strong organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
