Position Overview: The Testing Center Coordinator serves as an integral member of the Access Services team to provide equal access and inclusion for undergraduate, graduate, and postbaccalaureate students with disabilities. The successful candidate will provide a secure, welcoming, and accessible Testing Center experience for students with accommodation. Essential responsibilities include working directly with students with disabilities and Bryn Mawr College faculty and staff to ensure access to programs and services in accordance with relevant federal and state laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (amended 2008) and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, specifically through the implementation of accommodations for tests and assessments.

This part-time staff position has an anticipated schedule of 20 hours per week during the academic year (9-month position). Characteristic Responsibilities:

• Coordinate scheduling of tests and quizzes with faculty and students.
• Prepare assessment materials before their scheduled time.
• Proctor tests and quizzes.
• Maintain and revise forms and agreements.
• Train and support staff/student proctors.
• Manage the Testing Center environment and equipment.
• Supervise student workers, as needed.

Communications, Reports & Records Management

• Maintain departmental files, statistics and data, and maintain confidential materials in accordance with federal and state laws.
• Collect and share data about the use and function about the Testing Center each semester for use in reports.
• Maintain and update the Testing Center website as needed.

Student & Faculty Support Resources

• Respond to questions and concerns about the implementation of testing and assessment accommodations from faculty and students, including brainstorming creative solutions in line with course goals and access needs.
• Refer and help connect students and faculty with resources across campus.
• Serve as the point of contact for any alleged academic dishonesty cases that involve the Testing Center, including addressing concerns during an exam and/or providing statements to the Honor Board.

Team, Committee and Meeting Participation

• Collaborate with the Access Services team on campus education initiatives and other team projects/activities.
• Participate in the Accessibility Leadership subcommittee meetings.
• Attend and contribute to larger team and divisional meetings and events.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum one-year relevant professional experience in educational environment; higher education experience preferred.
• Substantial individual accountability, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to problem solve in timed situations (e.g., during an exam).
• Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite with the ability to adapt to and learn new software.
• Ability to handle complex situations with sensitivity and confidentiality, when appropriate.
• Understanding and appreciation of the intellectual, emotional, social and psychological development of students in a diverse community committed to intellectual rigor.
• Ability to work effectively in different organizational and cultural contexts, and the ability to reach different cultural groups and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Working knowledge of current state and federal law and regulation related to the ADA, Section 504, the FHA, FERPA, PA state law and of federal regulatory requirements for educational institutions receiving federal financial assistance.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies and alternate media services for students with disabilities at the post-secondary level.
• Superior attention to detail, problem-solving skills, organization, electronic, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
• Successful completion of satisfactory background checks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Accessible Information Management (AIM) and Qualtrics.
• Strong working knowledge of Universal Design (for Learning) principles.
