PE Teacher/Athletic Director

Job Description Santa Clara Catholic Academy is a PreK–8th grade elementary school. We have an opening for an Athletic Director/PE Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. Starting Date: Jul 1, 2026 General Summary of the Position The individual in this position will manage all aspects of the athletic program, along with teaching PE to grades PK‑8. The position reports to the principal. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school. Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church. Provide leadership, oversight, and management of all aspects of the athletic program. Promote the role of athletics in the overall program of student formation. Oversee the procurement and organization of all athletic equipment and storage spaces. Practice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroom. Communicate regularly with parents, teachers and administration regarding the athletic program. Attend all Diocesan Athletic Director meetings. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal. Qualifications Must meet the minimum requirements for teaching field as set forth by the Diocese and TCCB ED. Experience teaching PE/athletics at the elementary/middle school level (experience in a Catholic school preferred). Experience as an Athletic Director at the middle school level (preferred).
