Paramedic (Part-Time)

Job Opportunities We are offering a part‑time Paramedic position in the Sheriff’s Department. Description Responsible for responding to emergency calls at the paramedic level, determining the extent of illness or injury, establishing priorities for required care, and performing emergency medical care according to established guidelines and instructions from physicians. Additional duties include administering medications and IV solutions, inserting airways, transporting persons to medical facilities, and performing related tasks as required. Requirements High school diploma or GED and completion of NC Officer of EMS approved training program. Possession of North Carolina Paramedic credential. Obtain CIT training and NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800 certifications within six months of hire. Valid driver's license in the State of North Carolina. Please provide a photocopy of all certifications. Compensation The salary rate is $26.75 per hour. The part‑time position may work up to 24 hours per week on an as‑needed basis.
