Position Summary

Moro’s is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Line Cook. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is passionate about scratch cooking and hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise line cooks during service 
• Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, specifications, and presentation standards 
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff 
• Assist with daily prep production and station setup 
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and ticket times 
• Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff 
• Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and health department standards 
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and product rotation 
• Help manage labor and productivity goals 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment 
• Step into any station as needed to ensure smooth service 

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of line cook experience 
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred 
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations 
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure 
• Excellent communication and organizational skills 
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures 
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record 
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
