Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a contract Physical Therapist supporting an Extended School Year (ESY) program for K-12 students. Located near Bridgeport, CT, this role allows you to make a tremendous difference this summer, working with a dedicated team focused on student growth and well-being.
This assignment runs from July 1 through July 30, Monday through Thursday, with convenient hours from 7:45am to 1:00pm. The schedule offers a balance of professional engagement and personal time, making it perfect for professionals looking for summer work in an educational setting. You'll be compensated at an hourly rate starting at $50 and above.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Familiarity with K-12 student needs and IEP processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to K-12 students in accordance with IEPs
- Assess and document student progress and adapt strategies as needed
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to an inclusive, supportive environment
- Help students reach their fullest potential through creative interventions and guidance
